Josh comes to us from the sandy shores of Titusville, FL. Joining the corporate team in March as a graphic designer, Josh brings his passion for photography and visual arts to Mosquito Joe. With his expertise, Josh has helped develop creative solutions and materials for the corporate staff as well as franchisees.

Here are some fun facts about Josh:

What led you to work for Mosquito Joe?

After my military career and college experience, I wanted to find a position that integrated structure and fun; a work-hard, play-hard mentality. Truth be told, I’m a structured kind of guy. I love organization and a well-developed plan, but I also like to have fun and take creative liberties that allow me grow as an artist and as a professional. Mosquito Joe has supported that lifestyle since day one.

What is your favorite part about your position at Mosquito Joe?

My favorite part about being a Graphic Designer here at Mosquito Joe would have to be the satisfaction I get from being a part of something bigger than myself. This role has allowed me to become a valuable asset in a modern and competitive business environment.

What are the biggest strengths professionally that you bring to the Mosquito Joe team?

As a professional, I think some of my biggest strengths include the willingness to learn, the desire to grow, and the determination to make it happen. I’m a doer! I consider myself to be a workhorse with no fear of doing what it takes to get the job done.

What’s your favorite Mosquito Joe tagline and why?

I believe that “Stop smacking yourself in the face” is my favorite tagline. The tagline is funny, effective, and fits right into the Mosquito Joe brand personality. It’s a powerful play on words connecting a mental thought and physical emotion with the reader. When you think mosquitoes, you think about smacking them to avoid the bite.

If they made a movie about your life, who would you want to play you and why?

I think I would have to choose Chris Pratt as my character. He seems like a likeable person with a warm onscreen presence. I can relate to him being quirky, charming, and the comic relief. He can be serious when he needs to be, and his positive outlook on life is something we have in common.

If you could plan your ultimate vacation, where would you go?

My ultimate vacation doesn’t necessarily have to be a certain location. I see value in visiting any location around the world I’ve never seen. I did a good amount of travel from my time in the Navy and can honestly say at the end of the day I just appreciate a cold beer, a good time, and nice view… That is the long version of saying, I don’t know where I would go.

How do you like to spend your time outdoors?

Most of my outdoor time can be spent at the beach, on a random hike/bike ride, or walking my dogs in my neighborhood. Because my profession customarily puts me at desk, I really try to spend as much time as I can outdoors. I love nature and all the wonderful things this planet has to offer, so I make it a part of my daily routine to step away from technology and go for a walk in the sun. I am also a freelance photographer, so it’s not uncommon to find me outdoors taking pictures of anything from local events to landscapes and wildlife.

How attracted are mosquitoes to you?

Not really sure how to answer that, but if you’re asking if I’m immune to mosquito bites, I’m not. They are terrible. They are a nuisance and can really kill the outdoor vibe.
