Meet the Owners

Meet Jessica and David Seaford, owners of Mosquito Joe of Alaska. David has 25 years of experience in pro-audio, video, and lighting. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Operations for an independently owned and operated Audio Design Firm. Jessica is a Registered Nurse of over 20 years, and serves as a Healthcare Executive for a primary care provider group.

They have been married for over 24 years, have two sons; Gabriel and Elijah, and two pups; Callie and Titus; a mastiff and mastiff/lab mix. Gabriel is wrapping up high school and is currently building hours in order to become a certified flight instructor with the dream of working for a charter company in Alaska one day! Elijah, is in high school as well and enjoys football, math and science.

As a family they are very grounded in their faith and are all involved with their church. Their sons help with sound during service and Jessica and David are part of the worship team. In addition, as a family they enjoy getting outside. They especially love hiking during all seasons. However, they said, “Truthfully, anyway that we can be outside to experience the beauty of God's creation...we're there.”

The Seaford’s Journey to Mosquito Joe

The Seaford’s opened Mosquito Joe of Alaska in 2024. After spending their first summer in their cabin in Alaska back in 2021, they found that mosquitoes in Alaska are no joke! The number of mosquitoes made it extremely difficult for their family to enjoy their outdoor space the way they had envisioned. The next summer, they decided they had to opt for a professional service, and it luckily provided them the relief they were looking for. This experience inspired them to open a Mosquito Joe.

They love that Mosquito Joe is made up of a dedicated community of people who are committed to making sure families are able to creative positive memories and experiences together while enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and without the worry of being bitten. With 15-20 hours of daylight during the summer months here in Alaska that is exactly what they want to be a part of, to ensure those in their local community can enjoy as many of those hours as possible.
