Your technician will target bushes, shrubs, and plants with a barrier spray that kills on contact and also keeps working for weeks to come as it bonds to foliage. Within about 30 minutes of your appointment with Mosquito Joe of Los Angeles, your yard will be ready for friends, family and even pets.
  • One thing that sets Mosquito Joe apart is we will inspect your outdoor areas for active mosquito larvae populations and the areas will be treated according to what we find. In fact, if you’re at home during the service, a Mosquito Joe technician will help you identify potential problem areas in your yard while recommending ways to eliminate them. We’ll give you a hint now though – get rid of standing water in and around your front and backyard so mosquitoes don’t have a readily available place to lay their eggs.
  • Keep in mind that if you’re not at home during the time of the appointment, detailed notes will be left on a door hanger so you can review what your technician found. With our recurring every three-week treatment, you’ll be back to enjoying the outside in no time!

So What’s in Our Outdoor Pest Control Products?

All of the barrier spray chemicals we use are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are insecticides that are derived from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum found in the chrysanthemum flower. Pyrethroids are used in numerous commercial products that consumers use to control insects such as household pets’ insecticides, pet shampoos and sprays, and even lice shampoos applied directly to the scalp. The standard barrier spray treatment is effective on other pests such as fleas, ticks and some flies as well.
