Stage 1: We Inspect
When you contact Mosquito Joe of Gold Coast CT for mosquito control, a trained technician will arrive and inspect your property for active larvae populations and treat them accordingly. Your technician will also help you identify potential mosquito breeding grounds in your yard and recommend ways to eliminate standing water. These notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of the treatment.

Stage 2: We Spray
Using a backpack sprayer designed for precise application, your technician targets shrubs and plants with a barrier spray that kills mosquitoes on contact and bonds to foliage, where it acts as a mosquito repellent for weeks to come.All of the barrier spray chemicals we use are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are insecticides that are derived from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum found in the chrysanthemum flower. Pyrethroids are used in numerous commercial products that consumers use to control insects such as household pest insecticides, pet shampoos and sprays, and even lice shampoos applied directly to the scalp. The standard barrier spray treatment is effective on other pests such as ticks, fleas and some flies as well.
Stage 3: A Short Wait Later
After applying our treatment to your property, it only takes 30 minutes to dry. After this short wait time your yard is ready for family and pets to come out and play! For the next 21 days our effective barrier treatment eliminates those pesky biters!
Stage 4: You Play!All mosquito control services can be scheduled at your convenience, whether you are home or not. As long as your property is accessible you can trust your technician to let you know your yard has been treated.

I knew I was going to have an excellent experience with Mosquito Joe after having spoken to both Scott and Donna over the phone about the program. They were very professional and patient with my questioning. They answered all of my concerns concisely. And on top of that we’re just super friendly! After just one treatment so far we are enjoying a bug free evening patio experience each night. I tried another mosquito company a couple of years back and they just couldn’t seem to resolve our issues and I kind of gave up on the whole ideaUntil a couple of weeks ago.
