Effective Barrier Treatments for Itch-Free Backyard
With the mosquito life cycle lasting about 7 days, Mosquito Joe of Gold Coast CT understands that a small mosquito problem can turn into a serious mosquito problem very quickly. Although, bug sprays and citronella candles offer some protection, these products only cover small areas and wear off in a short time. This is why Mosquito Joe of Gold Coast CT offers a barrier treatment that provides long-term mosquito control for your whole yard, letting you enjoy your outdoor spaces bite-free!

Outdoor Solution
-
Stage 1: We Inspect
When you contact Mosquito Joe of Gold Coast CT for mosquito control, a trained technician will arrive and inspect your property for active larvae populations and treat them accordingly. Your technician will also help you identify potential mosquito breeding grounds in your yard and recommend ways to eliminate standing water. These notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of the treatment.
-
Stage 2: We Spray
Using a backpack sprayer designed for precise application, your technician targets shrubs and plants with a barrier spray that kills mosquitoes on contact and bonds to foliage, where it acts as a mosquito repellent for weeks to come. All of the barrier spray chemicals we use are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are insecticides that are derived from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum found in the chrysanthemum flower. Pyrethroids are used in numerous commercial products that consumers use to control insects such as household pest insecticides, pet shampoos and sprays, and even lice shampoos applied directly to the scalp. The standard barrier spray treatment is effective on other pests such as ticks, fleas and some flies as well.
Stage 3: A Short Wait Later
After applying our treatment to your property, it only takes 30 minutes to dry. After this short wait time your yard is ready for family and pets to come out and play! For the next 21 days our effective barrier treatment eliminates those pesky biters!
Stage 4: You Play! All mosquito control services can be scheduled at your convenience, whether you are home or not. As long as your property is accessible you can trust your technician to let you know your yard has been treated.
