Barrier spray mosquito treatments work right away – and keep working for weeks.
When you contract Mosquito Joe of Baltimore for mosquito control, a trained technician will treat your yard with an effective barrier spray that eliminates biters for 21 days. Using a backpack sprayer designed for precise application, your technician targets shrubs and plants with a barrier spray that kills mosquitoes on contact and bonds to foliage, where it acts as a mosquito repellent for weeks to come. Within 30 minutes of spraying, your yard is ready for family and pets to come out and enjoy the outdoors.

Did you know that a bottle cap full of water is enough for a mosquito to lay up to 300 eggs at a time? Your yard is full of potential mosquito breeding grounds. We inspect your property for active larvae populations, and help you identify potential mosquito breeding grounds in your yard and recommend ways to eliminate standing water. These notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of the treatment. Every three weeks, our team returns to treat your yard.

All of the barrier spray chemicals we use are synthetic forms of pyrethrins called pyrethroids. Pyrethrins are insecticides that are derived from a naturally occurring compound called pyrethrum found in the chrysanthemum flower. Pyrethroids are used in numerous commercial products that consumers use to control insects, such as household pets insecticides, pet shampoos and sprays, and even lice shampoos applied directly to the scalp. The standard barrier spray treatment is effective on other pests as well, such as fleas, ticks and even flies.
All mosquito prevention services can be scheduled at your convenience, whether you are home or out and about. As long as your property is accessible, you can trust your technician to let you know that your yard has been treated.

We recently had our yard sprayed for mosquitos. The technician Mike came to the front door. I explained my dog just had surgery and asked that he try to be quiet. He offered to return later but I said no. Mike was as quiet as could be and did a great job. We went away for a day or so and returned to have a very nice dog bag filled with dog treats left on our front porch from Mosquito Joe. That was very unexpected and greatly appreciated. Thank you Mike.

Always friendly, professional, and will check in to see how the treatments have been helping before the next application. This year I had them treat my crape Myrtle that was being killed by an infestation. The treat is coming back beautifully and producing flowers again for the first time in two years.

Mosquito Joe of Baltimore is efficiently run. They treat our yard and Lawn on a regular basis. They write the day before to remind us they will be coming. The guys that come out are always very pleasant and courteous. I am prone to getting mosquito bites. This company has been a game changer for me. I can work in the yard and hang out at night without any worries of being itchy the next day. BEWARE however, you will become very uncomfortable when you visit friends outdoors in the evening. You realize how bad mosquitoes are in our area. It will be very thankful you hooked up with these people. I’m talking I don’t remember what a mosquito looks like until I go to someone else’s house.
