Your Mosquito Joe professional will apply the treatment using a backpack sprayer, paying particular attention to trees, shrubs, plants, wood piles, tall grass, and piled leaves or organic debris where mosquitoes like to hide.

Although the pyrethroid blend we use in our barrier spray is a powerful insecticide, it can be used around living areas with children and pets. Please wait until the spray dries before returning to the treated areas. Generally, a half-hour is sufficient time to wait following a barrier spray treatment before resuming your outdoor activities.

The barrier spray controls biting insects on contact. However, the spray we use also bonds to foliage, where it remains a potent insect repellent once dry. Because it effectively repels insects from moving in, the spray essentially creates a barrier around the space, leaving your property a safe zone for up to three weeks running.

If we have any suggestions to prevent re-infestation, these notes will be left on the post-service door hanger at the end of our treatment. Every three weeks, our team will return to treat your yard to ensure it remains free from mosquitoes and other annoying pests.
